Where can I get support? Show/hide answer

Please search Übercaster's build-in help first. Open the built-in help by choosing "Help" > "Übercaster Help" from Übercaster's menu bar. Then enter your search request into the search field in the upper right of the help window. On Leopard you might enter your search request directly in the search field in the "Help" menu.

How do I get started with Übercaster? Is there a manual? Show/hide answer

In Übercaster, choose "Help" > "Übercaster Help" to open this window:

These is the index for Übercaster's four layers. Click on "Learn more" to drill down into detailed help topics for the fuctionality on each of these layers.

If you like to find help on a specific keyword, try to search the help files. E.g. enter "basics" in the help's search field and the help system will present the following topics to click on:

Is Übercaster "Leopard ready"? Show/hide answer

Yes, since version 1.2.

Übercaster crashed during recording. Is all my work gone? Show/hide answer

NO!
Your work shouldn't be gone after a crash of Übercaster!
Even if Übercaster crashes in the middle of a recording the recorded audio should be listed as "Recovered recording" in the "Media" subview on the "Cut" layer.
You can then re-insert the recovered recordings by dragging&dropping it to the edit section. If "Autosave" is switched on in Übercaster's preferences (which it is by default), Übercaster should re-open the latest autosaved version of your project.
